The applications are presented to the club membership for approval.  Approval is a majority vote of those present.
Upon approval of the award, the community education chair notifies all applicants of the outcome of their applications.
Funds for approved awards are sent to the applicant’s school unless this grant would decrease the amount of another grant. If the applicant receives the grant in person they must submit the proof of enrollment in a paid receipt.

Administration of the Community Education Fund
The community education fund is separately maintained from the general fund and can only be used for tuition, training costs and required class materials such as books.  Each year, the club members approve a budget, which contains an allocation to the community education fund.  In addition to this allocation, special fundraisers and donations may augment this fund.  Any funds not used for awards in the current year are rolled over to the next year. Grants cannot exceed the amount of the community education fund without the approval of the club membership at two (2) consecutive meeting.  If the club membership approves, a special fund raiser for the purpose of raising said funds will be held.

Promotion of the Community Education Program
It is the responsibility of the Community Education Chair to promote the scholarship. The Community Education Chair may seek assistance from the Publicity Chair.  The Community Education Chair may also seek funds from the Community Education und to promote the program.  A request for funds may be made as a motion at a regular club meeting.
