Dear Friends and Stockholders,

I have compiled a list of homes that were damaged or destroyed in the Slide Fire. This list was done by following our water meter billing books and visually confirmed. The data was cross referenced with our maps and account numbers. We have documented 105 homes lost or damaged. I most certainly apologize if there are any errors in this data but we wanted to get the most accurate and complete list out to you and errors may be present but not many if there is.  I am fairly confident in the list and data. In GVL communication has been difficult at best. As of today we now have cell service but no power, phones, cable, fax or internet access.

The water system is and has been doing well. Our tanks are full and all areas continue to have water at all homes. The homes that have been destroyed have been turned off to stop the leaks that were draining our system. Water quality samples of all areas are being sent to the lab and results will be available tomorrow. As a precaution, system wide chlorination is being maintained to unsure the potable supply and sterilization. We did lose some of our wells and pump structures but we are in the process of rebuilding them and will bring them back on line as soon as possible. Our water system held up quite well under the circumstances even though we suffered some loss. We were able to supply water to all the fire hydrants and structures for the use by the fire department and at no time did we run dry or lose water pressure throughout GVL.

In looking at our list the most accurate data is our account #, APN # and Lot / Block / Tract data. The physical address is as it appears on our meter books and may be different from what your address actually is. An example of this is a property may have an address on Falling Leaf Drive but the property may extend to Robin Drive. The water meter may be on Robin Drive and THAT is where we have your water meter address from. Please double check your Lot / Block / and Tract, APN # and Water Company Account Number. Lot information and Account # can be found on your water bill.
