The furniture and wood accessories featured are the product of George Barton's creativity and craftsmanship. Each piece is designed and hand-crafted uniquely. While using quintessential techniques such as mortise-and-tenon joinery for strength and period look, George fashions each art piece for an authentic rendering of furniture in the French Country, Spanish Colonial, and Santa Fe styles.

Each lathe turned bowl, spindle, and table leg is unique. Duplication devises are not used and all the components are individually designed and created at our shop. Natural wax and faux finishes enhance and stabilize wooden surfaces. Hand-designed cold-rolled iron hardware adds structure and individuality, making each work a durable, timeless heirloom of tomorrow.

 Custom Work
Although George continues to do some commissioned designs and restoration work, most of his time is spent turning his design ideas into the one-of-a-kind creations you see on this site.

 Benches
Most of our benches have splayed armrests which invite use. I call the distinction, "open arms." Red, green, blue, turquoise, and natural wooden distressed finishes are available for each style bench.

 Tables
Southwest tables are fashioned in an infinite variety of designs. Native soft pine was used almost exclusively during Colonial times and wear-curves resulted more than if hardwoods had been available.

 Cabinets
These contemporary cabinets (trasteros) and armoires, are influenced by Spanish-Colonial design. The colors available are blue, green and red.  A natural worn wooden surface is also available.

 Gates & Doors
Each gate and door is individually designed to fit a specific opening, and is hand finished to resist harsh weather conditions at its installed location. Hardware is available in hand-wrought iron.
